What you will learn:

In this course students will familiarize with Oracle BI Applications and understand the different components of the solution. They will understand the complexity of the different OOTB (Out-Of-The-Box) repositories and components provided with a BI Application. After learning what the pre-packaged Informatica, DAC and OBI Repository content can provide, participants will get the knowledge necessary to maintain BI Applications instances and how to administer them to the best advantage of their organization.

• OBI Apps: overview (architecture, tools, technology)
• ETL overview: Informatica and OOTB metadata
• ETL details: DAC and OOTB repository
• Business Layer: OOTB .rpd overview
• Maintaining INFA domain, servers and repositories
• Maintaining DAC: repository backup and restore
• Maintenance best practices: using DAC to manage the Data Warehouse

Pre-requisites:

Dimensional modelling, Oracle BI Administration Tool and Informatica PowerCenter basic knowledge is needed to enrol this course.
